About the lab

We study life histories of primarily aquatic ectotherms, to understand variation in life-history strategies and investigate physiological mechanisms underlying responses to environmental change.

Our lab is based at The University of Sydney within the School of Life and Environmental Sciences.

My broad research interests lie at the intersection of ecology, evolution and physiology. I am fascinated by phenotypic variation, in particular during early life stages, and seek to understand the causes and consequences of this variation in order to predict how species may evolve under environmental change. I use field and experimental work, and long-term datasets on a range of study organisms (fish, reptiles, marine invertebrates, and seaweeds), along with meta-analysis and comparative methods to understand the patterns and processes underlying biodiversity across time and space.
